STILL LIFE WITH EGG

During one of my art history classes my wonderful professor, Nancy Lamers, challenged those of us who aspired to be painters to paint a still life incorporating the following elements: an egg, a silver tray, citrus fruit, grapes and glassware. I accepted the challenge and completed this painting adding some elements of my own interest. In retrospect she might have meant an egg still in it's shell, but I like how the raw egg came out.
