THE ARTIST'S DAUGHTERS 2008

Every year I make it a point to paint a portrait of my daughters. This has helped me to capture the changes in them over the years as well as my own artistic growth and development. This painting was inspired by Mary Cassatt's Little Girl Sitting in Blue Arm Chair and was a departure from the formal posing I had used the year before.
